Downtown Parking Study

Summary of Study

The City of San Juan Capistrano is currently conducting a Downtown Parking Management Study in order to evaluate the existing parking operations of the City, collect parking utilization data for data-driven decisions, and identify areas of improvement, including parking technology updates, signage and wayfinding improvements, curbside management strategies, shared parking opportunities, resident benefit programs, cohesive paid parking experience, and alternative transportation improvements. The Downtown Parking Management Study is ongoing with expected results to be shared in early 2026.
