Swallows Day Parade and Special Trolley Service

As the 66th Swallows Day Parade approaches you can plan ahead on travel arrangements.

The 66th Annual Swallows Day Parade will take place on Saturday, March 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  As in previous years, several major streets in downtown San Juan Capistrano will be closed to vehicle traffic before and after the parade to accommodate the event and large crowds.  To support residents and visitors, the City will provide special event trolley service on parade day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Trolleys will run to and from Los Rios Park for those west of Alipaz Street from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and service will expand east of Alipaz Street to Old Mission Road and Camino Capistrano, ending at La Zanja Street, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Trolley service will operate east of the 5 freeway with service on the Ortega Line from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The trolley routes are shown on the attached map.  Plan ahead for road closures and enjoy the festivities!
