Business License

The Finance Department issues business licenses for all parties that conduct business within City limits, as defined by the City's Municipal Code. Applications are accepted in-person, by mail, and by email.

To apply for a business license, please complete a business license application and email it to: businesslicenses@sanjuancapistrano.org. If you need assistance, our customer service personnel are ready to help you at City Hall located at 32400 Paseo Adelanto. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments take precedence over walk-in. 1. Renewal form signed, dated and returned by email or mail

Special Event "Umbrella" Licenses

For special events that will be featuring multiple vendors, the special event coordinator must file with the Business License Department an application for an "umbrella" business license to cover their out-of-City concessions/ vendors. The individual vendors for these events are not required to obtain their own licenses when listed under an "umbrella" business license.
